Job Description

Job Title: Subscription Marketing Executive (CRO) @ Leading Global Digital Publisher

Location: London (Hybrid)

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Salary: £42,000+ DOE + Quarterly Bonus

A leading global digital publisher is looking for a Subscription Marketing Executive (CRO) to drive conversion across its fast-growing subscription business, with plenty of hands-on testing.

The business reaches millions of readers worldwide and is investing heavily in its subscription proposition. The team is expanding quickly across international markets, and two new strategic leaders are joining to shape the direction for next year. It’s an exciting time to come on board.

This is a hands-on role at the heart of the Acquisition team. You’ll launch and roll out A/B tests across paywalls, landing pages and subscription journeys on web and app, run your own test roadmap, and lead seasonal e-commerce campaign rollouts like Black Friday.

If you love experimentation, want the freedom to pitch and run your own test ideas, and want to learn faster than you would at a big tech corporate, this is a standout opportunity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, build and launch A/B and multivariate tests across paywalls, landing pages and subscription funnels on web and app
  • Own and deliver a structured test roadmap, from hypothesis to results and recommendations
  • Analyse test performance and report clear, concise insights to stakeholders
  • Manage day-to-day testing requests from stakeholders across the business
  • Roll out key e-commerce subscription campaigns, including Black Friday and seasonal promotions
  • Propose new test ideas with clear rationale to improve conversion and subscriber growth
  • Use AI tools in your daily workflow to work faster and smarter
  • Support conversion optimisation across multiple international markets
  • Skills & Experience Required
  • 1–3 years’ experience in CRO, experimentation or e-commerce, agency or in-house
  • Hands-on experience with at least one A/B testing tool (e.g. VWO, Optimizely, AB Tasty, Purchasely)
  • Able to launch and roll out tests independently with minimal hand-holding
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to turn data into clear actions
  • Clear, concise communicator who can present results with confidence
  • Highly organised, proactive and self-directed
  • Publishing or subscription experience is a bonus, but not essential

Why Apply?

  • Join a leading global publisher during a period of rapid growth and investment
  • Big AI investment, with tools like Claude and Whisper at your fingertips every day
  • Freedom to propose and run your own tests, with less red tape than a large corporate
  • Quarterly bonus on top of a competitive base salary
  • Full training on the testing tool stack
  • Real progression as the team expands and new strategic leadership comes in
