Senior Java Developer – Angular & Full Stack

McLean, VA

This position is only open to candidates who already live in Washington, D.C. and who can start immediately.

We are seeking a Java Developer with 5+ years of experience building scalable web applications using Angular, TypeScript, Full Stack, and Spring. The ideal candidate has strong API development and testing experience, thrives in an Agile environment, and brings a collaborative, problem-solving mindset with exposure to cloud, microservices, and DevOps practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable web applications using Angular/TypeScript and Java/Spring.
• Develop clean, maintainable, and efficient code following engineering best practices.
• Design and implement RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Develop and maintain unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
• Troubleshoot issues and optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, QA engineers, and developers in an Agile/Scrum environment.
• Participate in code reviews, technical documentation, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and industry best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional full stack development experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with Angular, TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Extensive experience with Java and Spring Framework, including Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Spring Data.
• Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs.
• Strong knowledge of unit, integration, and end-to-end testing, using tools such as JUnit, Mockito, Jasmine, Selenium, or Cypress.
• Experience with both SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Proficiency with Git and build/package tools such as Maven, Gradle, npm, and webpack.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams and delivering production-quality applications.

Nice to Have

• Experience with AWS or other cloud platforms.
• Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with CI/CD, microservices, and DevOps practices.
• Familiarity with cloud-native application development and monitoring.
