About the opportunity

Branch Tech is building relationships with experienced FPGA Engineers interested in opportunities across London's high-frequency trading, proprietary trading and quantitative finance markets.

We are particularly interested in engineers who enjoy working at the intersection of digital hardware design, ultra-low-latency systems and financial technology.

This is a specialist talent-network opportunity rather than an advertised vacancy with a specific employer.

Areas of expertise we're interested in

• Designing and developing FPGA-based, ultra-low-latency systems.
• RTL development using Verilog, SystemVerilog or VHDL.
• FPGA acceleration for market-data processing, order execution or exchange connectivity.
• High-speed networking, Ethernet, UDP, TCP/IP and PCIe.
• FPGA architecture, simulation, synthesis, place-and-route and timing closure.
• Developing testbenches and verification environments.
• Working with Xilinx/AMD or Intel/Altera FPGA platforms.
• Collaborating with software, quantitative research and trading teams.

Your background

We're interested in speaking with engineers who have strong hands-on FPGA development experience, ideally within HFT, market-making or other performance-critical industries.

Experience in financial markets is valuable but not essential where candidates have transferable expertise in low-latency networking, high-throughput digital design or hardware acceleration.
