Overview
We're looking for a Full Stack Software Engineer to design, build, and ship workflow applications end to end: front end, back end, APIs, data layer, integrations, and deployment pipeline.
Our team uses AI-assisted tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, and GitHub Copilot in day-to-day delivery. We want someone who uses AI responsibly to move faster while holding the line on architecture, testing, security, maintainability, and production quality.
Responsibilities
- Build responsive, user-friendly front ends with React, TypeScript/JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
- Develop back-end services, APIs, business logic, and integrations in Node.js, Python, and/or Java
- Create secure, maintainable workflow applications for intake, review, approval, routing, case management, reporting, and process automation
- Design and optimize data models in PostgreSQL and related relational systems, and use MongoDB or other document databases where they fit
- Design and implement REST APIs, and work with GraphQL where appropriate
- Integrate with third-party systems, data sources, authentication providers, and cloud services
- Use AI-assisted tools for prototyping, coding, refactoring, testing, and documentation
- Evaluate agentic AI frameworks and LLM-based workflows where they add real product value
- Turn complex, messy business processes into reliable, usable software
- Collaborate with product, design, stakeholders, and fellow engineers
- Own quality through code review, automated testing, debugging, monitoring, and production support
- Build with security, performance, and accessibility in mind
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science
- 3+ years of professional software engineering experience in full-stack, product, or application development
- Strong hands-on experience with React and modern JavaScript/TypeScript
- Strong server-side experience with Node.js, Python, and/or Java
- Experience designing and building REST APIs
- Strong experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL
- Experience with Git, code review, CI/CD workflows, Docker, and cloud deployment
- Solid understanding of authentication, authorization, and web security fundamentals, including OAuth 2.0, JWT, OWASP Top 10, XSS, CSRF, and SQL injection prevention
- Ability to write clean, maintainable, testable code
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Comfort owning ambiguous problems in a small, fast-moving team, with practical judgment about when to move fast and when to slow down for quality
Strongly Preferred
- Experience deploying to or building on AWS
- Day-to-day use of AI development tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, or GitHub Copilot
- Familiarity with agentic AI frameworks such as LangChain, CrewAI, or AutoGen
- Experience with workflow, case management, process automation, approval routing, or reporting systems
- Experience in public sector, government, GovCon, regulated, or security-conscious environments
- Familiarity with GraphQL, MongoDB, or other document databases
- An active GitHub profile, portfolio, technical blog, open-source contributions, or examples of shipped work
- Experience taking products or features from concept through production release
