Web Design Intern

Calling All Awesome Marketing Interns!!!

We’re looking for a creative and detail-oriented Web Design & Development Intern to help build, update, and improve websites using platforms such as Squarespace, Wix, and WordPress.

This is a great opportunity for someone interested in web design, website development, digital marketing, and user experience who wants hands-on experience working on real website projects.

The program is a 3-month remote internship, during which you will assist in fulfilling various digital marketing tasks for your mentioned business for 10 hours per week. This is an unpaid program whose end goal is to provide students with a higher chance of getting hired in the digital marketing space after completing our apprenticeship program.

Check with your school's Internship Coordinator BEFORE accepting the hiring offer to determine if this position satisfies the criteria for receiving academic credit.

What You’ll Do

• Assist with creating and updating websites using WordPress, Wix, and Squarespace
• Build and edit website pages, layouts, and sections
• Update website content, images, videos, and graphics
• Help improve website navigation and overall user experience
• Ensure websites are responsive and mobile-friendly
• Assist with website formatting, styling, and basic design improvements
• Create and update landing pages for marketing campaigns
• Optimize images and website content for better performance
• Assist with basic SEO tasks, including page titles, headings, meta descriptions, and keywords
• Check websites for broken links, formatting issues, and other errors
• Help maintain and organize website content
• Work with the marketing team to implement website updates and campaigns

What We’re Looking For

• Basic knowledge of WordPress, Wix, or Squarespace
• Interest in web design and website development
• Good understanding of basic website layout and design principles
• Creative eye for design and attention to detail
• Good communication and organizational skills
• Willingness to learn new tools and technologies
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

Nice to Have

• Experience with two or more of WordPress, Wix, or Squarespace
• Basic knowledge of HTML and CSS
• Experience with Elementor or other WordPress page builders
• Knowledge of Canva or other graphic design tools
• Basic understanding of SEO
• Experience creating landing pages
• Familiarity with Google Analytics or Google Search Console
• Basic understanding of responsive/mobile web design
