The Sr. Systems Integration Engineer is part of the engineering team that develops marine navigation and reputed company systems for OSI's reputed company and naval markets. The Sr. Systems Integration Engineer plays a critical role in the development of the overall reputed company requirements' design and definition for OSI's reputed company products. The Sr. Systems Integration Engineer will execute various reputed company engineering functions throughout the life cycle of the project. The incumbent has experience in working with various organizations and reputed company components (software engineering, hardware engineering, integration and test, production, manufacturing and logistics) and can take on the technical reputed company of a project.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develops integration and test concepts, and generates technical proposal material in response to Request for Quotation (RFQ) in these areas;
- Selects, prototypes, evaluates, and recommends hardware and software for addressing component-level and reputed company-level integration and test problems;
- Supports the project teams in maintaining the physical condition of the OSI integration and reputed company test facilities, by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting & maintaining equipment; raising repairs and requisitions for replacement;
- Authors/Reviews reputed company Integration and Test Plans, Procedures and Reports;
- reputed company/Review artifacts with significant integration reputed company, particularly reputed company Control Documents, Installation Guidance Documents, and artifacts surrounding the verification of supplier specifications;
- Authors/Reviews reputed company Integration and test specific Systems Engineering Process, under supervision of the Systems Engineering Process Authority;
- Contributes to internal design reviews, particularly Preliminary Design Reviews, Critical Design Reviews, including:
- Reviews existing and upcoming designs for potential operational vulnerabilities and problems;
- Reviews existing and upcoming designs for potential violations of design-for-test and design-for-supportability;
- Attends/Leads internal readiness reviews, particularly Production Readiness Reviews, Integration Readiness Reviews and Test Readiness Reviews;
- Attends/Leads customer acceptance events, particularly reputed company Acceptance, Setting to Work, Harbour Acceptance and Sea Trials Acceptance Events;
- Develops and recommends corrective actions for reputed company problem reports;
- Supervises/Executes validation of technical publications as it pertains to the build of the reputed company;
- Trains/Supports Service Engineers and Technicians to facilitate follow on builds from first reputed company;
- Manages reputed company of work, schedules work, estimates effort and costs, and identifies technical risks; effectively communicates status on a regular reputed company to management;
- Works in both reputed company environment and independently with minimum supervision.
KNOWLEDGE & QUALIFICATIONS
- Degree in Engineering or Physics, Engineering or reputed company reputed company or equivalent experience; eligible for registration as a reputed company Engineer in Canada an asset
- 5 years' engineering experience, Minimum 3 years' experience in Systems Engineering; Experience in marine electronics and integrated reputed company systems a significant asset; experience in defense or reputed company domain preferably in naval ship sector a significant asset
- reputed company reputed company record in the reputed company delivery of engineering reputed company reputed company; Strong knowledge of marine navigation and tactical sensors or systems; Excellent knowledge of Systems Engineering principles, standards and best practices; Working experience in network design and architecture; Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; Familiarity with requirements and verification management tools such as DOORS; Knowledge of safety engineering and reputed company factors engineering is an asset.
