Sr. Data Privacy & Risk Counsel

Description

• Craft and execute strategies for Engine’s enterprise data privacy, AI governance, and risk management function.
• Collaborate with Security, Product, and Finance on cross-functional risk and compliance initiatives.
• Lead the design and implementation of automated workflows for privacy operations, including CCPA/CPRA handling.
• Develop and manage structured frameworks for AI governance and vendor risk programs.
• Provide legal guidance to clients and internal partners on risk evaluations and incident response matters.
• Support legally compliant customer experiences across Engine’s products and operations.
• Help protect material findings through structural privilege and enterprise collaboration.

Requirements

• 4–6 years of hands-on privacy law experience, in-house or at a firm with an established privacy practice.
• J.D. with an active bar admission in good standing.
• Deep working knowledge of CCPA/CPRA, U.S. state privacy law frameworks, and FTC Section 5 standards.
• Experience working in fast-paced, innovative environments.
• Bonus points for experience with OneTrust or similar privacy management platforms.
• Ability to collaborate across the enterprise and work hands-on on operational privacy and risk matters.

Benefits

• Competitive base salary of $182,800–$253,000 USD.
