SOFTWARE DEVELOPER II (MID-LEVEL)

Position Description

Seeking a Software Developer II who independently develops, enhances, and maintains software components supporting cyberspace capabilities. This role translates requirements into effective technical solutions while ensuring quality, security, and maintainability.

Minimum/General Experience

• Bachelor’s degree and 2–4 years of professional software development experience, or equivalent
• Experience supporting software projects through multiple lifecycle phases
• Experience working in secure or regulated environments preferred

Functional Responsibility

• Design, develop, test, and maintain software components
• Participate in requirements analysis, estimation, and risk identification
• Develop operational and procedural scripts
• Conduct unit and integration testing
• Apply secure coding practices and assist with vulnerability mitigation
• Support integration with enterprise common services

Requirements

• Proficiency in one or more programming languages (Java, Python, C, C++, or assembly)
• Experience using Git and modern development tools
• Working knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems
• DoD Manual 8140.03 (DoDM 8140.03) baseline certification required for the assigned role category
• Active TOP SECRET/SCI clearance with Counterintelligence (CI) Polygraph required
• Onsite-only position requiring daily work in a secure facility

Salary Range: $135,000 - $155,000
