Software Developer (C#/ SQL)

With a strong focus on modern development practices, automation, code quality and continuous improvement, the organisation is looking to strengthen its in-house development capability with experienced software developers who can drive meaningful change and challenge existing ways of working.RoleAs a Software Developer, you will play a key role in the ongoing development, support and enhancement of business-critical applications. Working closely with technical and business stakeholders, you will help modernise legacy systems, improve database performance, deliver new functionality and contribute to the overall technical direction of the development team.Key responsibilities include:

• Developing and maintaining Windows and web-based applications using Microsoft technologies.
• Designing and implementing integrations and APIs between internal and external systems.
• Creating, optimising and maintaining SQL Server databases, stored procedures and reporting solutions.
• Troubleshooting and resolving complex software and data-related issues.
• Translating business requirements into robust technical solutions.
• Participating in solution design, architecture discussions and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Improving development processes, deployment pipelines, source control practices and overall development standards.
• Supporting the transition from legacy approaches to modern software engineering methodologies.
• Producing clear technical documentation and ensuring development work meets security and data integrity standards.

• A proven track record within commercial software development environments.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• The ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
