Role Description The Social Media Marketing Intern will support the planning, creation, and publishing of social media content across platforms to promote Octagon Studio’s AR, VR, and MR products and educational solutions. This internship role is hybrid, based in Stansted Mountfitchet, with some work-from-home flexibility. Day-to-day tasks include assisting with content calendars, drafting posts, scheduling updates, monitoring engagement, and helping respond to comments and messages in a timely and professional manner. The intern will also help collect and analyze basic performance metrics, contribute ideas for campaigns, and collaborate with marketing and creative teams to ensure consistent branding and messaging. This role offers hands-on experience in digital marketing, social media strategy, and educational technology promotion.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated skills in Social Media Marketing and Social Media Content Creation, with familiarity across major platforms (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, X).
• Foundational knowledge of Digital Marketing and Marketing principles, including audience targeting and campaign support.
• Strong Communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to adapt tone and style to different audiences.
• Interest in educational technology, AR/VR/MR, and creating engaging content for children and families.
• Ability to work in a hybrid environment in Stansted Mountfitchet, manage time effectively, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Basic understanding of analytics tools or platform insights (e.g., Instagram Insights, Facebook Analytics) is beneficial.
• Experience with design or content tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud, video editing software) is a plus.
• Currently enrolled in or recently completed a program in Marketing, Communications, Media, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
