About the Role

Improvix Technologies is hiring ServiceNow talent across development and architecture levels to support a growing federal program. We're looking for people who can design, build, and optimize ServiceNow solutions across ITSM, Service Catalog, and custom applications, and who are comfortable working directly with stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions. Depending on experience, candidates may be considered for a developer or architect-level role.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and deploy ServiceNow configurations, custom applications, and automated workflows
  • Build advanced Service Catalog items, including catalog client scripts, UI policies, and Flow Designer automations
  • Support ongoing improvements and optimization of core ITSM modules (Incident, Problem, Change, Request, Knowledge Management)
  • Design and implement integrations with third-party systems using REST/SOAP web services and IntegrationHub
  • Participate in client calls and technical design discussions, translating business requirements into clear, actionable solutions
  • Execute unit, integration, and regression testing to ensure high-quality, zero-defect deployments
  • Maintain update sets, release documentation, and technical design records
  • Mentor developers and promote ServiceNow best practices across the team (architect-level)
  • Oversee release management, peer reviews, and governance/compliance checks (architect-level)
  • Identify risks, dependencies, and design gaps early in the development lifecycle

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience developing and configuring on the ServiceNow platform (5+ years for Developer; 8+ years including lead or architect-level experience for Architect)
  • ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD)
  • At least one Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) certification — ITSM preferred
  • Strong scripting ability (server-side and client-side JavaScript, Glide APIs, Business Rules, Script Includes)
  • Experience building Service Catalog items, workflows, and integrations
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development environments
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work across technical and functional teams
  • Active Top Secret clearance, or willingness to be sponsored/upgraded to Top Secret

Nice-to-haves

  • Prior experience in federal or defense contracting environments
  • Experience with release coordination, version control, and automated testing strategies
  • Hands-on proficiency with the ServiceNow Automated Test Framework (ATF)
  • For senior/architect candidates: experience mentoring developers and representing technical solutions in client-facing discussions

Benefits

  • Competitive compensation and performance-based incentives
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Three weeks of paid annual leave that increases with tenure
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • Life insurance and disability coverage
  • Transit and commuting benefits
  • Professional development and paid training opportunities
