Senior Software Engineer | Financial Markets Technology | £115,000 + Bonus | London (Hybrid)

Senior Software Engineer with strong C# and .NET experience is needed for a financial services business with a well-established trading function. This is a high-visibility hire for someone with real technical depth, strong communication skills and a clear ambition to move into leadership.

You’ll be a key part of a growing engineering team, working as a trusted partner to the engineering lead and sitting close to the business. The technology you build is used daily by the people making trading decisions, so your work has an immediate and visible impact. As the team scales, there is a genuine opportunity to take on more responsibility, shape how the team works and move into people leadership.

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will design, build and enhance trading systems using C# and SQL Server, working side by side with traders and business stakeholders to understand their needs and turn them into reliable, well-engineered solutions. You’ll have real influence over technical direction, from architecture and design decisions to how the team delivers, and you’ll be trusted to take ownership of your work from start to finish.

The business is also investing in how it uses AI, and wants engineers who are excited by it. You’ll have the chance to work with AI tooling, build agents and explore how they can improve the way the business operates. If you bring fresh thinking and energy, and you’re keen to help the team adopt new technology rather than hold back from it, you’ll thrive here.

This is a role for someone who is as comfortable talking to a trader as they are writing code. The team is looking for a personality as well as a skill set: someone confident, approachable and energetic who will make an impact on the team and the business.
