Job Description

Our client is helping some of the world's most innovative R&D organisations solve a problem every scientist has faced: valuable scientific knowledge trapped in spreadsheets, disconnected systems and scattered datasets.

Their platform brings experimental data, formulations, workflows and results into a single environment, allowing scientists to find previous research, leverage historical knowledge and make faster, more informed decisions.

Having secured $25M+ in funding, they are already fully profitable, have achieved 240% headcount growth over the last three years, support 150+ customers globally, and operate from offices across the US, Germany and UK.

Who We're Looking For

This opportunity is ideally suited to someone who has already built significant experience delivering scientific software, laboratory digitalisation or large-scale transformation projects and is looking to take ownership of increasingly complex customer programmes.

We're particularly interested in candidates who have

  • Experience delivering LIMS, ELN, laboratory informatics, R&D digitalisation or scientific software implementations.
  • A track record of playing a leading role in large-scale transformation projects, whether through implementing new laboratory technology, launching a new product or transforming scientific workflows.
  • The ability to work directly with scientists, technical teams and senior stakeholders to understand complex requirements and translate them into practical software solutions.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, combined with the confidence to lead complex customer engagements.
  • Genuine AI literacy, with practical experience using LLMs, AI-enabled tools or automation to improve workflows, solve problems or accelerate day-to-day work.

We're open to candidates coming from either scientific technology companies or internal digital transformation teams, provided they understand scientific/R&D environments and have taken meaningful ownership of complex projects.

What The Role Looks Like

You'll work directly with scientists and R&D leaders at major industrial organisations, taking ownership of complex projects that transform the way their teams capture, structure, analyse and use scientific data.

One project could involve leading the implementation of a new digital platform across an R&D organisation, working with stakeholders to understand existing laboratory processes and designing how they should operate within the new system.

Another could see you helping a customer consolidate years of experimental data from spreadsheets and legacy systems, redesign scientific workflows, configure the platform around complex requirements and guide teams through a major change in how they work.

This is a highly customer-facing position combining scientific understanding, technology, data, project leadership and consulting. You'll have significant autonomy and, for an exceptional candidate, there is potential for the position to develop into leadership of the London implementation team.

The position is based in London and primarily office-based, with flexibility when personal circumstances require it. You should also be comfortable with approximately 25-30% travel.
