Job Description

Learning changes lives – and we’re here to drive that change.

We support people wherever and however they want to learn, so they can achieve their learning goals and uncover new possibilities.

Today, we reach more learners than ever, in more ways than ever.

And we’re just getting started.

About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced and strategic Senior Marketing Manager to lead the development and delivery of ambitious marketing strategies and campaigns that drive brand awareness, customer engagement, and sustainable growth across our international qualifications business. Working at the heart of OxfordAQA, a joint venture between Oxford University Press and AQA, you’ll create impactful campaigns, build thought leadership initiatives, develop market insights, and identify new opportunities to strengthen our presence across global education markets.

This is a varied and influential leadership role where no two days are the same. One day you could be planning a high-profile brand campaign, the next collaborating with senior stakeholders to secure buy-in for a new initiative or briefing agencies on innovative marketing projects. You’ll oversee the full marketing lifecycle, developing plans that support both existing OxfordAQA centres and new customer acquisition, while ensuring every activity delivers measurable results. Using customer, competitor, and market insights, you’ll continuously refine strategies, optimise performance, and help shape the future direction of the business.

As a people leader, you’ll inspire and develop a talented marketing team, creating a collaborative and high-performing environment where individuals can thrive. Working closely with colleagues across Oxford University Press, OxfordAQA, and AQA, you’ll build strong relationships, manage budgets effectively, establish clear KPIs, and ensure campaigns are delivered on time and on budget. This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially minded marketing professional who combines strategic thinking with hands-on delivery and is passionate about making a meaningful impact in the global education sector.

This is a 6-month fixed term contract with the possibility of extension. We operate a hybrid working policy that requires a minimum of 2 days per week in the Oxford office.

  • Experience of setting KPIs and analysing results to inform future planning.
  • Excellent organization skills, with an ability to independently manage a varied and busy workload.
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation and communication skills, including copywriting.
  • Willingness and flexibility to embrace change and think creatively to solve problems.
  • Experience in managing a wide portfolio of projects and responsibilities, and ability to take initiative to drive projects forward.
