We're partnering with a forward-thinking organisation looking to recruit an Azure SQL Developer / Senior Data Developer to play a key role in the ongoing development and evolution of its cloud-based data platform.

Working alongside a highly experienced Data Architect, you'll take ownership of day-to-day SQL development activities, lead the design of technical solutions, and help drive data initiatives across the business. This role has been created to provide additional senior technical capability within the team, allowing the Architect to focus on strategic solution architecture and new client engagements.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys solving complex data challenges, designing scalable solutions and working across modern Azure-based data platforms.

What You'll Be Doing

• Leading the day-to-day development and maintenance of Azure SQL database solutions
• Acting as the senior SQL technical specialist within the organisation
• Producing technical design specifications for new developments and system enhancements
• Designing, developing and supporting enterprise data warehouse solutions
• Building and maintaining Azure Data Factory pipelines and ETL/ELT processes
• Optimising database performance across cloud-based environments
• Troubleshooting complex data and integration issues
• Supporting ongoing modernisation and transformation initiatives
• Collaborating with technical and business stakeholders to deliver data-driven solutions
• Promoting best practice across database development, data modelling, governance and security

Essential Skills & Experience

• Strong commercial experience with Azure SQL Database
• Advanced SQL and T-SQL development expertise
• Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF)
• Strong understanding of Kimball Methodology and dimensional data modelling
• Experience designing and supporting data warehouse solutions
• Proven experience delivering ETL/ELT and data integration solutions
• Strong understanding of database architecture, performance tuning and optimisation
• Experience designing scalable cloud-based data solutions
• Ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
