SBA Relationship Liaison

Description

• Support commercial banking teams in maintaining and managing assigned portfolios.
• Coordinate transactions with customers, prospects, consultants, attorneys, engineers, appraisers, inspectors, and environmental firms.
• Collect required documents for customer requests and support credit packages through the Loan Operating System (LOS).
• Participate in sales meetings and customer appointments as needed.
• Serve as a direct client contact from loan closings through information coordination.
• Collaborate with internal departments and external vendors to maintain transaction integrity and client satisfaction.
• Ensure required documentation is collected, organized, and maintained.
• Identify, research, and resolve customer issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years of experience managing portfolios of approximately $100 million or greater.
• Successful experience in banking, including branch, sales, or customer-facing roles.
• Knowledge of banking terminology and products related to SBA lending.
• Experience with core banking systems; Fiserv and Abrigo experience preferred.
• Strong problem-solving and customer service skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills, prioritization abilities, and attention to deadlines.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Ability to travel within a defined market area and reside in MD, DC, VA, PA, DE, IN, IL, SC, NC, or FL.
