They are seeking a Financial Services Analyst responsible for overseeing the financial services process, ensuring compliance, and assisting students with financial aid. This role involves maintaining confidentiality, auditing files, and developing the financial aid department.
Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance and accurate information provided to students
- Review and audit files upon submission from the FAC’s
- Create Award Letter and FASApp
- Issue and maintain award letters as appropriate
- Maintain/update the certified loan report
- Complete the financial aid file once a student has gone through the entire process of FA
- Help students obtain funding through various programs available
- Prepare, explain and supply applicants with appropriate documents to make informed decisions regarding financial aid
- Analyze timing of funding of students
- Update Salesforce appropriately in the financial aid section regarding funding score, etc
- Verify funding amounts and order funds as appropriate
- Participate in financial aid meetings and events
- Download vouchers and verify funding of those vouchers
- Scan, upload and email vouchers as necessary
- Issue borrower notifications
- Provide exit counseling
- Run enrollment reporting and add new student’s to NSLDS transfer monitor list
- Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned
Skills
- Bachelor's degree or a combination of education and experience
- 2 years' experience in a customer facing role preferred
- 2 years' experience in financial aid role preferred
- Salesforce experience a plus
