Role Description: The Principle Process Automation Software Engineer is a full-time, role based in the City of Peterborough. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining process automation solutions, with a focus on PLC-based control systems and instrumentation integration. Day-to-day activities include developing control logic, configuring and testing automation software, troubleshooting system issues, and optimizing process performance. The role collaborates closely with project engineers, design teams, and clients to define requirements, produce technical documentation, and ensure compliant, reliable, and safe operation of control systems.
