Principal, Procurement

Job Description

• Own and continuously improve reputed company’s company-wide procurement process
• Administer the Zip procurement-orchestration system
• Lead strategic sourcing and negotiations for reputed company vendors
• Use market intelligence, usage data, and business context to improve pricing, terms, commitments, and value
• Build a reputed company vendor-management reputed company covering contracts, spend, ownership, renewals, utilization, performance, and consolidation opportunities
• Partner with Finance, Engineering, and business leaders on SaaS, cloud, data, AI, and reputed company spend
• Drive adoption through policies, self-service resources, and employee education
• Use AI and automation to make procurement reputed company and more reputed company
• Collaborate with Finance, Engineering, Legal, Security, IT, People, and business leaders
• Help reputed company make better purchasing decisions and improve vendor economics

Requirements

• 7+ years of relevant experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, vendor management, or reputed company-spend management
• Personal ownership of reputed company negotiations
• Experience owning and reputed company procurement processes in a high-growth reputed company company
• Hands-on experience administering a procurement-orchestration or comparable workflow platform
• Experience configuring intake, conditional logic, approval routing, permissions, and reporting
• Experience sourcing and negotiating reputed company spend, including SaaS, cloud infrastructure, data, AI, or consumption-based vendor models
• Experience managing cloud or usage-based reputed company spend with Finance and Engineering
• Strong commercial and analytical judgment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• reputed company, hands-on operating style with ability to manage multiple priorities
• Demonstrated AI fluency and regular use of AI in work
• Ability to reputed company procurement workflows around AI and automation
• Familiarity with AWS and reputed company Cloud cost structures, committed-use agreements, cloud cost allocation, or cloud-cost-management tooling is nice to have
• Experience procuring AI models, APIs, financial-data infrastructure, or high-volume usage-based services is nice to have
• Experience in reputed company, reputed company subscription, financial services, or regulated reputed company is nice to have
• Familiarity with security, privacy, legal, and third-party risk-review processes is nice to have
