TITLE: Manager, Marketing Operations
IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: Director, Sales and Marketing
CLASSIFICATION: Exempt, Full Time
SALARY: $70,000 - $80,000
HYBRID: In office Tuesday - Thursday; remote/work from home Monday and Friday.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
CRM & Marketing Technology
- Manage day-to-day marketing activities within NACAC’s CRM and marketing automation platforms.
- Maintain marketing fields, lists, audience data, and campaign records to support accurate and effective marketing.
- Assist with maintaining integrations between the CRM, marketing platforms, website, events, membership, and other systems.
- Identify and communicate opportunities to improve marketing technology, processes, and campaign execution.
- Work with internal teams and IT to troubleshoot marketing technology and data issues as needed.
Marketing Automation & Campaigns
- Build, test, and manage automated marketing journeys and workflows.
- Develop email campaigns, automated communications, triggers, and follow-up programs based on established marketing strategies.
- Support campaigns for membership, events, professional development, fundraising, and other organizational initiatives.
- Monitor automated campaigns to ensure they are functioning properly and reaching the intended audiences.
- Assist with testing subject lines, content, audiences, timing, and other campaign elements.
- Maintain campaign documentation, workflows, and processes.
Audience Segmentation & Personalization
- Build and maintain audience segments based on membership status, demographics, engagement, interests, purchase history, and other available data.
- Partner with the Senior Marketing Manager and Director of Sales & Marketing to develop targeted campaign audiences.
- Implement personalization and dynamic content within marketing campaigns.
- Review audience performance and identify opportunities to improve targeting and engagement.
- Maintain audience lists and suppression criteria to support accurate campaign delivery.
Reporting & Analytics
- Prepare regular marketing campaign and performance reports.
- Monitor email, web, paid media, event, and other campaign metrics.
- Track campaign engagement, conversions, revenue, and other established performance indicators.
- Maintain marketing dashboards and reporting documents.
- Analyze campaign results and identify trends or opportunities for improvement.
- Provide clear, practical insights to help the marketing team optimize campaigns.
Campaign Operations
- Support the Director of Sales & Marketing and Senior Marketing Manager in executing marketing campaigns and initiatives.
- Build campaign audiences, tracking links, workflows, landing pages, forms, and other campaign components.
- Ensure campaigns are properly tagged, tracked, tested, and documented.
- Coordinate campaign timelines and deliverables with internal stakeholders.
- Support quality assurance for email and digital campaigns.
- Assist with campaign testing and optimization.
Data Quality & Processes
- Monitor marketing database health and identify data-quality issues.
- Maintain accurate marketing lists, fields, and campaign data.
- Follow established processes for data management, campaign setup, tracking, and reporting.
- Help document marketing processes and procedures.
- Work with internal stakeholders to resolve data issues that affect campaign execution or reporting.
- Handle marketing data responsibly and in accordance with NACAC policies and requirements.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with the Director of Sales & Marketing and Senior Marketing Manager to execute marketing initiatives.
- Collaborate with Membership, Events, Professional Development, Communications, Finance, IT, and other teams on marketing campaigns and projects.
- Provide support to internal teams using marketing automation, audience data, and campaign reporting.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to gather information and ensure campaigns are executed accurately and on schedule.
Optimization & Continuous Improvement
- Monitor campaign and workflow performance and recommend practical improvements.
- Test new approaches to audience segmentation, personalization, email, automation, and campaign execution.
- Stay informed about relevant marketing technology and digital marketing practices.
- Assist with implementing improvements to NACAC’s marketing processes and technology.
- Support a culture of testing, measurement, and continuous improvement.
Event & Organizational Support
- Support marketing, reporting, and campaign needs for NACAC’s major events and organizational initiatives.
- Assist with conference-related marketing campaigns and communications.
- Travel may be required to NACAC’s annual conference and other organizational events.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as needed to support team success.
QUALIFICATIONS
Marketing & Campaign Experience
- 3+ years of experience in marketing, marketing operations, digital marketing, marketing automation, CRM, or a related field.
- Experience working with a CRM or marketing automation platform such as Salesforce, Pardot/Account Engagement, HubSpot, Marketo, or similar systems.
- Experience building and managing email campaigns, automated workflows, audience segments, and digital marketing programs.
- Experience working with marketing campaign processes, timelines, and quality assurance.
Data & Analytics
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience analyzing campaign performance and marketing metrics.
- Experience with email marketing metrics such as delivery, open rates, click-through rates, conversions, and revenue.
- Familiarity with Google Analytics 4 or similar web analytics platforms.
- Ability to turn campaign data into clear observations and practical recommendations.
CRM & Marketing Automation
- Hands-on experience managing campaigns, audiences, lists, workflows, or similar functions within a CRM or marketing automation platform.
- Understanding of audience segmentation, lifecycle marketing, personalization, and automated communications.
- Ability to troubleshoot basic campaign, data, and automation issues.
- Familiarity with CRM data structures and integrations.
Operational Skills
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Strong organizational and project coordination skills.
- Ability to follow established processes while identifying opportunities for improvement.

EDUCATION
Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, communications, analytics, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
