About Healthy Fresh Meals
Healthy Fresh Meals is a rapidly growing prepared-meal company serving customers throughout Maryland, Washington, D.C., and Virginia. We provide fresh, chef-prepared meals through our direct-to-consumer meal delivery business as well as partnerships with government agencies, senior nutrition programs, organizations, and corporate partners.
As we enter our next stage of growth, including a major brand refresh, expanded production capabilities, new partnerships, and expansion into additional markets, we are looking for a talented and highly motivated Marketing Manager to take ownership of our marketing strategy and execution.
The Role
We are looking for a hands-on Marketing Manager who can both develop strategy and execute it.
This is not solely a social media position. The Marketing Manager will oversee the overall HFM brand and help drive measurable growth across digital marketing, email and SMS, social media, partnerships, public relations, customer acquisition, retention, website promotions, and new market launches.
You should be equally comfortable developing a 12-month marketing strategy, planning a major campaign, reviewing performance data, coordinating a photo shoot, writing campaign direction, working with outside vendors, and jumping in to get something launched when necessary.
You will work directly with the CEO and leadership team.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage HFM's overall marketing strategy and annual marketing calendar
- Lead marketing for our upcoming brand refresh and company expansion
- Develop campaigns that drive new customer acquisition, revenue, and customer retention
- Manage social media strategy across Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, and other relevant platforms
- Oversee email and SMS marketing, including promotional campaigns, customer retention, reactivation, and automated flows
- Develop marketing campaigns around weekly menus, seasonal promotions, partnerships, new products, and company milestones
- Coordinate photography, video, graphic design, and other creative content
- Manage and improve website promotions, landing pages, and customer conversion
- Coordinate paid digital advertising and work with outside agencies or contractors when appropriate
- Identify and develop strategic partnerships, collaborations, sponsorships, and community opportunities
- Coordinate PR opportunities, media outreach, awards, events, and company announcements
- Support marketing initiatives for both our direct-to-consumer and institutional business divisions
- Maintain consistent brand standards across all customer-facing materials
- Track marketing performance and provide clear monthly reporting
- Monitor customer acquisition cost, conversion, retention, email/SMS performance, campaign revenue, website traffic, and marketing ROI
- Manage the marketing budget and make recommendations based on performance
- Identify new opportunities to grow HFM's presence throughout the DMV and future expansion markets
What We're Looking For
- 4–7+ years of marketing experience
- Experience in consumer marketing, food & beverage, hospitality, wellness, e-commerce, or another consumer-facing brand strongly preferred
- Demonstrated experience developing and executing successful marketing campaigns
- Strong understanding of digital marketing, social media, email/SMS marketing, customer acquisition, and retention
- Experience with Shopify or another e-commerce platform preferred
- Experience working with email/SMS marketing platforms and digital advertising platforms
- Strong project management and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple campaigns and deadlines simultaneously
- Strong written communication and brand storytelling skills
- Comfortable analyzing marketing data and making decisions based on performance
- Experience managing agencies, freelancers, photographers, designers, or other creative partners
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects from concept through execution
- Comfortable working in a fast-growing, entrepreneurial environment
A degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field is preferred but not required. Demonstrated results, experience, and a strong portfolio are more important to us.
