The Opportunity

We are working with an established and growing contractor operating within the construction and engineering sector, who is looking to appoint an experienced and creative Marketing Manager to lead and develop its marketing and branding function.

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded marketing professional who enjoys combining strategic thinking with hands-on creative work.

The successful candidate will take ownership of the company's brand identity, marketing materials, digital presence and tender presentations, ensuring a consistent, professional and engaging approach across all platforms.

Working closely with the senior leadership, pre-construction and business development teams, you will play an important role in strengthening the company's market presence and supporting its continued growth.

Key Responsibilities

Marketing & Brand Development

• Develop and implement marketing and branding initiatives to strengthen the company's market position.
• Maintain a consistent brand identity across all company communications, presentations and marketing materials.
• Manage and enhance the company's website, social media presence and digital marketing activities, working alongside external partners where appropriate.
• Identify opportunities to improve brand awareness and engagement within the construction and engineering sectors.
• Support internal and external company events, promotional activities and community initiatives.
• Develop employer branding initiatives to support recruitment and employee engagement.

Tender Presentations & Creative Content

• Lead the creative development of tender submissions, bid presentations and company capability documents.
• Produce high-quality, visually engaging presentations and marketing materials that effectively communicate the company's experience and capabilities.
• Work closely with pre-construction, operational and commercial teams to develop bespoke tender documentation.
• Review and improve existing presentation templates, company brochures and marketing literature.
• Ensure all external documentation reflects the company's brand standards and professional image.

Strategy & Leadership

• Work alongside senior management to develop and deliver marketing strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Provide guidance and development to junior marketing team members.
• Collaborate with business development and pre-construction teams to support new business opportunities.
• Prepare marketing performance reports, metrics and updates for senior management.
• Attend management, tender and sales meetings where required.

Skills & Experience Required

We are looking for an experienced marketing professional with a strong creative background and the ability to work confidently with senior stakeholders.

Essential Requirements

• Degree in Marketing, Branding or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in a senior marketing or leadership capacity.
• Proven experience developing and implementing successful marketing and branding strategies.
• Strong creative skills, with experience producing professional marketing materials and presentations.
• Proficiency in Adobe InDesign or equivalent design software.
• Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to produce engaging and professional content.
• Strong commercial awareness and an understanding of how marketing supports business growth.
• Excellent organisational, leadership and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to balance strategic marketing responsibilities with hands-on creative delivery.

Desirable Experience

• Previous experience within construction, mechanical and electrical (M&E), engineering, infrastructure or facilities management.
• Experience supporting tender submissions, bid presentations or pre-construction teams.
• Knowledge of B2B marketing within a technical or project-led environment.
• Experience managing external marketing agencies or creative partners.

You will be equally comfortable developing a marketing strategy, designing a professional tender presentation, managing digital content or working with senior stakeholders to improve the company's market presence.

This role would particularly suit someone who has worked within a construction, engineering or technical services business and understands the importance of high-quality bid documentation, professional branding and strong client-facing presentations.
