• Experience with court reporting, scoping, or legal transcription required
• Excellent listening skills
• Adherence to deadlines and client-specific style guides
• Outstanding literacy skills, including comprehension, spelling, and grammar
• Ability to collaborate remotely
• Typing proficiency in both speed and accuracy
• Ability to process extreme audio/text content (content may be offensive)
• Ability to pass a background check
• Familiarity with legal terminology
• Court reporting students will also be considered

Responsibilities

• Process audio recordings of depositions, hearings, and other judicial proceedings
• Produce verbatim transcripts while adhering to style guides
• Maintain intense attention to detail in discerning spoken content

Qualifications

• Significant experience transcribing legal documents
• Strong understanding of legal terminology
• Must have the ability to process potentially offensive audio/text content

Education Requirements

• Relevant experience in legal transcription, court reporting or scoping is required
