We're seeking a talented Java Software Developer with active SC Clearance to support the delivery of secure, large-scale digital services. 💻 About the Role

As a Java Software Developer, you will design, develop and maintain high-quality software solutions within a secure delivery environment. Working alongside multidisciplinary agile teams, you'll contribute to the development of scalable applications, modern CI/CD pipelines and containerised deployments, while promoting engineering excellence and continuous improvement.

This role is primarily remote, with occasional travel to London for workshops and collaborative sessions.

Core Technology Stack: Java, Spring Framework, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, TDD, Agile Delivery, Microservices and Cloud-Native Architecture.

🔧 Key Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance and maintain Java-based applications and services.
• Design robust software solutions using established design patterns and engineering best practices.
• Build and support containerised applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes.
• Champion Test-Driven Development (TDD), code quality and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with developers, architects, testers and stakeholders in agile delivery teams.
• Participate in technical discussions, code reviews and architecture decisions.
• Support the successful delivery of secure digital transformation programmes.

✅ Requirements

• Active SC Clearance that has been used on a live project within the last 12 months.
• Strong commercial experience with Java development.
• Experience using the Spring Framework or equivalent technologies.
• Solid understanding of software design patterns and their practical application.
• Excellent knowledge of modern software development practices and delivery processes.
• Experience with containerisation technologies including Docker and/or Kubernetes.
• Experience implementing and maintaining Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery pipelines.
• Passion for producing high-quality, maintainable code through TDD and engineering best practices.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within remote agile teams.
