Java Full Stack Developer
Remote
Grant Leading Technology is seeking a candidate for Java Full Stack Developer to join our dynamic team. The candidate will be responsible for the oversight, development, and enhancements of web-based applications. This position will be remote, and the hours are 8 am to 5 pm EST.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and refine a set of code sets (Golden images) built on the following operating system software components:
- Java Enterprise Edition/Jakarta Enterprise Edition
- Tomcat, Web Application Server, JMS
- Web Services, API, API Security, JWT
- Spring boot/Apache frameworks (Batch, Commons etc.)
- Apache Maven build tool/ Eclipse IDE (Java)
- Bootstrap 4x or higher, jQuery 3x or higher, Popper JS 1x or higher
- Static HTML SPA (Single Page Application)/JSON Configuration
- Software AG webMethods Integration Server
- XML/HTML5/CSS/XSD
- Oracle Exadata/19c, Access Manager, Real Application Clusters, Automatic Storage
- Deploy code sets to individual application teams
- Support infrastructure engineering and OS upgrades
- Diagnose reported issues, efficiently navigate through application code, and find a resolution as specified in the SLA (Service License Agreement)
- Engage and collaborate with architecture/solution engineers teams
- Support staff to ensure functional and performance concerns are addressed
- Gather requirements, develop build map rules, LCM events and workflows
- Perform deep code analysis and extrapolate business rules
- Managing customer communications
- Gather software/system requirements, and translate to applicable design and implementation
Qualifications And Education Requirements
- Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in BS degree (or higher) in software engineering, computer science, or a related field.
- Minimum of four (4) years of performing in Java/Web Developer role. Experience should demonstrate software development using a myriad of programming and scripting languages, with emphasis on Java EE/Jakarta
- Experience working with a federal agency either as a contractor or employee
- Three (3) years of experience analyzing existing application code to identify issues, determine root causes, and support business objectives
- Minimum of four (4) years of coding and working with Java and web technologies.
- Minimum of four (4) years of software development experience utilizing various software development models, such as but not limited to Agile, Iterative, and Waterfall and Web technologies/tools and frameworks with emphasis on Spring, Apache, ORM, XML/XML
- Minimum of three (3) years of supporting Linux environments
- Demonstrates strong communication skills
- Must have experience with Relay Logic, building code, ADA requirements, State License and code requirements, and a basic understanding of Network and Network Topology
- Must have experience effectively leading multiple projects at the same time, and communicating with the client regarding the projects
- Familiarity with cloud development (AWS)
- Must have the ability to pass a Federal Government background check
- Must live in the United States and be authorized to work in the U.S.
Preferred Skills
- Experience managing software projects CMMI Level 2 (or higher)
- Angular experience
- Previous security clearance (public trust, secret, top secret)
- Experience with web servers and IIS
- Experience working with authentication and authorization protocols/frameworks (OpenID Connect, SCIM, OAuth or SAML)
- A background in working with Software Engineering or Security
