Job Description

Carbon Rewind is a national installer of energy efficiency measures aimed at reducing heating bills and carbon emissions. We are actively working with energy suppliers across the UK, specialising in insulation, heating upgrades and renewable heating systems. Our head office is based in Watford, and we have an office in Cornwall, and warehouses in Cornwall and Wokingham.

We are looking for a HSE and Compliance Manager who will be responsible for developing, implementing and continuously improving the company's health, safety, environmental and compliance management systems. The role ensures legal compliance across all office and site-based activities, supports operational teams in maintaining safe working practices, and manages the company's ISO certifications and industry accreditations.

Working closely with managers, site teams and external auditors, the postholder will promote a positive safety culture while ensuring the organisation meets all statutory, contractual and accreditation requirements.

The role of HSE and Compliance Manager involves

  • Maintaining the company’s H&S management system
  • Conducting regular site inspections
  • Carrying out tool-box talks
  • Ensuring RAMS are in place
  • Acting as the Management Representative for all ISO standards maintained by the company
  • Keeping policies, procedures and management system documentation up to date
  • Coordinating internal and external ISO audits
  • Maintaining all external accreditations and ensure successful annual renewals
  • Analysing trends and recommending improvements
  • Building positive relationships with all internal and external stakeholders

Skills and Qualifications

  • SMSTS
  • Driving Licence
  • IOSH/NEBOSH
  • Strong Construction site experience
  • Knowledge of CDM regulations
  • Good problem solving
  • Strong communication
  • Strong knowledge of ISO standards

Pay: £38,000.00 per year
