Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Big Data Developer/ Hadoop Developer with strong experience in SQL and Python.

You will be responsible for building scalable data pipelines, ETL processes, and distributed data systems in a fast-paced environment.

This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with a background in software development and data engineering, especially within large-scale data environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Big Data applications using SQL, Scala & Python.
• Strong SQL programming skills, MapReduce and spark
• Experience with SQL Server, MySQL, or PostgreSQL
• Build, optimize, and manage ETL pipelines and data workflows
• Work with large-scale structured and unstructured datasets
• Perform code reviews, debugging, and performance optimization

Required Skills

• 2–4 years of experience as a Hadoop Developer/ Big Data Developer / Data Engineer / Software Engineer
• Strong programming skills in SQL, Scala, Java, or Python
• Good knowledge of SQL and database concepts
• Experience working in Linux/Unix environments
• Understanding of data structures, algorithms, and system design
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Education

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or a related field.

Candidates from Electronics, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering backgrounds may be considered with 3 year relevant experience.

Additional Requirements

• Must be based in the UK with valid work authorization
• Willingness to travel within the UK required

Immediate joiners or candidates with short notice periods are highly preferred.
