Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Developer/Consultant with strong hands-on expertise in Microsoft Purview policy configuration, Security Copilot, and Purview’s native AI capabilities. The ideal candidate will have proficiency in TypeScript, JavaScript, Python, data engineering, and AWS, with experience implementing AI-driven automation workflows and robust data security solutions.
Note that we are only accepting candidates local to VA or nearby who are available for an in-person interview.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and automate solutions utilizing Microsoft Purview, Purview native AI, and Security Copilot to support comprehensive compliance surveillance across the organization.
- Integrate with Security Copilot to enhance discovery, detection, and compliance monitoring.
- Develop robust backend and frontend components using TypeScript and JavaScript.
- Develop monitoring and reporting dashboards for real-time compliance surveillance and alerting.
- Engineer and manage data pipelines for ingesting, transforming, and cataloging sensitive data.
- Build and develop integrations using Microsoft native connectors.
- Monitor and optimize Microsoft Purview solutions to ensure operational performance and audit readiness.
- Integrate Purview solutions with other enterprise systems, including Microsoft 365 and Power Platform.
- Execute functional component testing on configured policies, workflows, and dashboards.
- Create and maintain technical solution documentation.
- Provide ongoing production and end-user support.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of software development experience, with at least 2 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Purview, including data governance, cataloging, classification, and policy configuration.
- Extensive practical experience implementing and optimizing GenAI-powered solutions, particularly Microsoft Security Copilot and Purview native AI capabilities.
- Strong TypeScript, JavaScript, and Python skills for modern application development.
- Data engineering experience, including ETL, data pipelines, data cataloging, and data management.
- Experience with AWS, including data services such as S3, Glue, and Redshift, as well as security and integrations.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Proactive and self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership.
Preferred Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with RESTful APIs to enable integrations between enterprise applications.
- Relevant Microsoft certifications, such as Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals or Microsoft Certified: Information Protection Administrator Associate.
- Prior experience working in a regulated industry and/or enterprise risk division.
