Job Description

Job Title: FinTech Lead

Location: Remote/Worldwide

Reports To: Development Advisor/Product Officer

Job Type: Full-Time/Contract About Prestige Development Group (PDG)

Prestige Development Group (PDG) specializes in providing innovative human capital management solutions tailored to meet the needs of both private and public sector organizations. We are a certified SBA HUBZone and Economically Disadvantaged Woman-Owned Small Business dedicated to fostering diversity, inclusion, and operational excellence. Position Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced engineer to design and implement the platform's critical transaction infrastructure, enabling high-value international transactions to move securely and reliably between buyers, escrow accounts, and sellers. The role will focus on building systems that support transactions ranging from $500K to seven figures, including bank wires, potential SWIFT transfers, and escrow accounts held at client-selected financial institutions. This is a hands-on engineering position for someone with proven experience designing and implementing secure financial transaction systems, where reliability, security, and accuracy are essential to protecting both the client experience and the platform's reputation. Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement the transaction mechanics: reservation, escrow, release of funds and settlement for unique, non-fungible assets (property, vehicles, vessels, aircraft, art), not standard e-commerce products.
  • Integrate with the banking partner and payment rails the client selects, most likely international wires and SWIFT-connected banking rather than card processors like Stripe or PayPal.
  • Advise the client on the mechanics, best practices and standards that apply. Propose alternatives or add-ons where the chosen providers leave gaps, and build those add-ons where needed.
  • Join provider and banking partner discussions as the technical expert. The client owns the commercial negotiations, and you make sure what's agreed can be built and is sound.
  • Design multi-currency settlement across several jurisdictions from day one.
  • Build the KYC/AML guardrails into the transaction flow, so neither buyer nor seller can be a bad actor and funds can't disappear mid-deal. Work with the Compliance Expert on the rules.
  • Build monitoring and safeguards: warning signs, triggers, alerts and notifications, audit trails and reconciliation.
  • Run live bank-to-bank test transactions before any real money moves.
  • Document the financial architecture so the client can review and approve it.

Qualifications

Required

  • 6+ years of hands-on payments or fintech engineering. You have built these systems yourself, not only managed or specified them.
  • Proven delivery of high-value transaction systems handling six- to seven-figure single transactions via bank wires or SWIFT, not only consumer card or PayPal/Stripe-scale flows.
  • Direct experience designing and implementing escrow or held-funds logic.
  • Experience with international, cross-border transactions and multi-currency settlement across three or more jurisdictions.
  • Working knowledge of KYC/AML requirements and how to enforce them in transaction flows.
  • Strong enough engineering skills to implement, not only advise. The backend is .NET / ASP.NET Core.
  • Comfortable with scope that grows in stages as client decisions land (for example, the choice of bank), rather than a fully fixed spec on day one.

Preferred

  • Experience with payment and banking providers serving Gulf/MENA and European high-net-worth markets.
  • Background in private banking, wealth management, trade finance, or luxury or high-value asset marketplaces (real estate, auctions, aviation, yachts).
  • Familiarity with EU payment regulation and SEPA, GCC banking practice, and cross-border reporting thresholds.
  • Experience with multilingual (English/French/Arabic) financial documentation or forms.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary Range:competitive hourly rate, independent contractor.
