Role responsibilities

Set and deliver the marketing strategy for a division running a portfolio of major international events each year

Lead, develop and grow a team of marketers and an editorial function, including future hiring

Report on key marketing performance indicators and share results with senior leadership on a regular basis

Run and share the results of a marketing test every month to keep the team's approach sharp

Own editorial strategy and content direction across the event portfolio

Work closely with production, sales and other departments to hit shared business goals

Track competitor activity and emerging marketing methods to keep the division ahead of the curveCandidate background

6+ years marketing experience, ideally gained in B2B publishing, conferences, events or exhibitions

At least 2 years managing and developing a team, with a genuine ability to coach and motivate

Strong digital marketing skills across SEO, SEM and social media

Commercially minded, comfortable owning budgets and reporting on ROI

A confident communicator able to work with stakeholders at every level

Self driven and able to manage multiple priorities independentlyClosing note
