Role: Developer - Java, JVM Tuning (Low Latency)

Location: London, UK

Key Requirements & Skills

• Advanced Java Mastery: Exceptional high-performance Java skills, including deep expertise in JVM Tuning and garbage collection (GC) optimization.
• Core Fundamentals: Strong foundation in complex Data Structures and Algorithms.
• System Architecture: Proven experience building event-driven and reactive systems operating in low-latency, high-frequency environments.
• Low-Level Java Utilities: Practical expertise utilizing low-level mechanisms such as Java Unsafe, JNI, JNR-FFI, and off-heap memory.

Technical Expertise

• Concurrency & Networking: Excellent knowledge of multi-threaded programming, concurrency models, and standard networking protocols (TCP/UDP).
• Hardware & OS Proximity: Solid understanding of CPU Architecture, mechanical sympathy, and Memory Management (including Shared Memory and Memory Mapped files).
• Linux Internals: Deep understanding of Linux operating system internals, kernel bypass, or OS-level performance tuning.

Nice to Have

• Production experience with Aeron (highly preferred).
