C Developer

Software Engineer (C++ / Rust)

Location: Cambridge (Hybrid, approximately 2 days per week onsite)

Salary: Up to £75,000 (depending on experience) + Bonus

NOTE: Candidates must be eligible for UK Security Clearance (SC).

We're looking for a Software Engineer with experience in modern C++ and/or Rust to join a highly skilled engineering team developing cutting-edge secure technology solutions. You'll work on products deployed within environments that demand exceptional reliability, performance and security, contributing to software with real-world impact.

What You'll Be Doing

• Developing high-quality software using modern C++ and/or Rust
• Building and enhancing Linux-based applications and platforms
• Contributing to secure, high-performance networking and security-focused products
• Working within an agile engineering environment that values collaboration, knowledge sharing and continuous improvement
• Participating in pair programming, testing and code reviews to maintain engineering excellence
• Supporting the development of next-generation technology solutions across a variety of challenging projects

What We're Looking For

• 2+ years' commercial experience with Modern C++ (including STL) and/or Rust
• Experience with Python
• Exposure to Linux, embedded systems, real-time operating systems or low-level software development
• Understanding of networking, network security or secure systems
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to problem solving
• Passion for delivering quality software and continuously improving engineering practices

Additional Desirable Experience

• Cloud development
• Linux platform bring-up
• Real-time network protocols
• Cyber security or secure product development environments
